作者注：谷歌光纤的工作原理

我非常期待千兆互联网速度和有意义的宽带提供商选择。目前，我所在社区的选择是30 Mbps有线或1 Mbps DSL。对于一个狂热地流媒体电影的IT专业人士来说，这根本就不是一个选择。

当然，最初这可能只是意味着视频缓冲和软件下载缓慢的结束。但我也看到了在线协作的各种可能性，例如在科学研究、图形艺术、电影以及其他需要大量带宽的领域。虽然我可能不是这些进步的先行者，但我可以默默地为它们喝彩，并通过向网络付费来支持它们。嗯，那是当我们这里获得更快的速度时。目前，我只能满足于30 Mbps的Netflix追剧体验。
